Inalca JBS Spa’s corporate responsibilities take the form of 10 basic requisites which involve the whole company:
1• All activities, both compulsory and voluntary, are adequately supervised, managed and documented in terms of quality, environmental protection and safety in the workplace.
2• The highest level of food safety is always considered the first requirement for all the company’s products.
3• The current policy is easily available to the company, clients and suppliers.
4• Information concerning corporate responsibilities is made available to the public and to company employees, who understand and accept it.
5• Production activities are closely controlled in relation to contractual obligations undertaken with clients;
6• The number of errors and the level of non-conformity in production activities are reduced in order to reduce the work required to correct them.
7• The environmental impact, either real or hypothetical, which is or can be caused by the production processes and by all of Inalca JBS Spa’s industrial activities, is carefully identified.
8• Safety and prevention in the workplace is supervised, managed and shared, regarding both workers and contracted third party companies.
9• Effects on the company’s activities due to the application of ethical codes of conduct drafted or received by Inalca JBS Spa are supervised and managed, and more particularly:
- Employees are adequately remunerated and can count on salaries which conform to the applicable national laws;
- There is no discrimination in employing personnel and in the methods of employment for reasons of race, skin colour, religion, sex, age, physical capabilities, nationality or any other prohibited reason;
- Employees are provided with a safe and healthy working environment.
10• All suppliers are involved in the pursuit of the company’s ethical codes. The activities regarding the company’s corporate responsibilities are periodically verified and re-examined by top re-examined by top management.
