Inalca JBS Spa manages the entire production chain, from the breeding of livestock to the finished product. It operates with a production structure made up of 5 plants specialized by processing lines, in Castelvetro (Modena), Ospedaletto Lodigiano (Lodi), Piacenza, Rieti. All plants use modern production technologies and innovative safety systems which allow the company to be at the cutting edge in control methods, production chain programmes and meat identification and labelling processes. The Castelvetro (Modena) and Ospedaletto Lodigiano plants carry out the entire production process: slaughtering, boning, processing and transformation. The plants have a total production capacity of 745,000 animals a year and use modern production technology and state-of-the-art safety systems which allow the company to be at the cutting edge in control methods, production chain programmes and meat identification and labelling processes.
The strategic position of the slaughtering plants in the heart of the Po valley, where 75% of the Italian zootechnical resources are focused, is a significant competitive advantage. The Rieti plant is specialized in the production of canned meat.
