Breeders
Breeding is undoubtedly a cornerstone of the food production chain, and Inalca affords its livestock suppliers special attention. Today the Italian system consists of over 60,000 bovine farms, and Inalca SpA’s slaughterhouses are situated in Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Campania, in the heart of the areas with the highest concentration of bovine farms, thus making breeders’ supplying easier and sparing the animals the stress of long distance transport

For Inalca SpA, breeders are not just ordinary suppliers. They are the first link in the chain and therefore an integral part of the beef production system – a system whose origins and roots lie in farming and agriculture.
With a view to being increasingly integrated with the zootechnical world, Inalca SpA puts itself forwards as a partner for its livestock suppliers, placing at the disposal of all operators an information package of certain interest allowing them to:
- Consult the Price list for livestock purchasing, directly and in a clear and obvious way;
- Have at their disposal an Up-to-date rules file on zootechnics and breeding, with the latest information on the regional, national and European rules;
- Have at their disposal an up-to-date procedure on Good Practices in breeding whose purpose is to inform them of the main requirements for the proper management of farms with regard to animal welfare and food safety.
